Paul R. Mbugua, Kenyan National, is a well known personality in the banking industry in Eastern, Central and Southern Africa for his contribution to the banking and ICT strategic forums. He has been instrumental in introduction and implementation of ICT automation solutions in many banks across Africa.
Paul founded Eclectics International Limited in 2007 with key focus to provide affordable locally made and supported banking automation systems. The mission of the company is to develop best of breed affordable ICT and financial solutions for the African Banking sector to support African custom financial needs. Within 10 years, the company boasts of over 130 youthful employees, 200+ client banks across 23 countries in the continent and growing exponentially.
Paul also offers financial and technical advisory services in the implementation of financial inclusion and financial deepening solutions across Africa. This also includes many different clients who are in need of setting up financial service companies as well as those who are in need of increasing their numbers in customer base and overall profits.

Sebi is a Banking ICT Specialist.
His career in ICT spans over 20 years, starting off as a Software Developer in 1998. Sebi teamed up with Paul Mbugua to found Eclectics International where he is involved in Strategic Design, Development, Implementation and Support of various Banking Products.
He is also involved in consultancy services to various financial organizations on integration and Electronic Banking Channels. He is an invaluable asset in formulating appropriate integration strategies for the organization.
His areas of interests are financial systems (Agency Banking, ATM/ POS Switch Applications and Cheque Clearing Application), Integration to various solutions (Service Oriented Integrations) and Solution Architecture.
Sebi is an amateur pilot and his hobbies include hiking, camping, playing and watching soccer.
Felix is an experienced ICT specialist with over 20 years experience in the wider ICT spectrum.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a Masters degree in the same field.
Mr. Mulei is a PRINCE2 practitioner and has implemented core banking systems in 15 banks across Africa.
Similarly, he has consulted on various banking systems for purposes of procurement and deployment of ICT systems. Furthermore, he has been instrumental in aiding banks develop best practice procedures and controls for their ICT functions in different African countries.
He is currently involved in positioning banks develop, deploy and manage profitable banking channels aimed at achieving financial inclusion.
Mr. Njuguna has a wealth of experience in payments systems and integrations with a career spanning more than 13 years in various Fintech companies in Kenya.
James manages the projects department at Eclectics International both locally and within the continent. Equally, he oversees the Architectural designs of various Key flagship products in the organization. He has overseen the continuous Design, development, deployment and Implementation of most of the products and solutions at Eclectics.
Prior to joining Eclectics, James worked for Kenswitch Ltd in management of the shared Financial switch, Fintech Kenya Ltd as a key developer of e-Banking products and Craft silicon as a senior implementer for their Core Banking System.
Mr. Njuguna holds a BSc. Degree in Computer Science from JKUAT. He is in possession of various industrial and sector certifications including PRINCE2.
With over 15 years hands-on experience in ICT, he is one of the pioneers of the tech movement in East Africa.
He holds many professional certifications in ICT Security, Networks, Systems and Project Management.
He has successfully designed, developed and implemented many bespoke, first-to-market solutions for Government and the Financial Industry. His interests in technology are driven by a hunger for learning and innovation. He nurtures the technology teams to break barriers and lead in technology disruptions. He is a Computer Science graduate.
Ken is a family man, a biker enthusiast and trains for triathlons.
Mr. Mutua has over 8 years’ experience in project implementation across the continent with a bias in financial services and products.
He is a hands-on experienced and seasoned systems and software engineer endowed with excellent projects management skills.
He holds Prince 2 project management certification coupled with other ICT certifications.
Rabecca has a vast experience in office management having served in the Department for the past eight years. In these capacities, Rebecca is responsible for employee and company policies formulation, implementation, employee retention, benefits management, employee welfare, performance appraisals, recruitment and training.
She is very enthusiastic about her duties and enjoys maintaining a happy, motivated and highly qualified workmanship.
Rabecca holds a Diploma in Business Administration, Certificate in Secretarial Studies and Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Peninah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with over 9 years’ experience in the ICT Industry. She has been involved in numerous projects in software development and implementation of FinTech systems. She has vast wealth in development, finance and banking.
Peninah is a certified project management professional who has undergone leadership and customer service training. She oversees the post sales and post implementation services in the group companies.
She is passionate about innovation, great customer service, people, family, service to God and humanity.
Silvin is a compliance and continuous improvement expert with a track record of leveraging process engineering models, Quality Assurance and Operational Excellence to position businesses for sustained growth and competitive advantage. As a champion of change, he has implemented PCI-DSS [Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard] as well as CMMI [Capability Maturity Model Integration] in Eclectics International.
He is a Bachelor’s degree holder in Business Information Technology with vast experience in software quality assurance having been certified by ASTQB (American Software Testing Qualifications Board) in 2012. He is trained in project management – Prince 2 with four (4) years hands-on experience in managing projects from different sectors on the economy including; Revenue, Banking, Telecommunication, BPO and Software Development industry.
He is a team builder and player with extensive experience in the market, managing cross-functional teams on both small and large-scale projects in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Zambia.
Betrino is active in sports and fitness activities whose ideology revolves around training the mind to better the overall body shape.
Laura holds a BSc. in Information Systems and Technology from United States International University (USIU) and has over 12 years’ experience in the implementation and management of the Microsoft infrastructure, helpdesk applications, and enterprise Customer relationship management (CRM) applications.
She is a Prince2 Practitioner and has assisted in management and delivery of enterprise wide solutions across several banks in Kenya and the region.
